1. ISP license is intended for individuals, companies, or entities that offer internet services to the general public. 2. ISP license is a mandatory requirement for activating a business license. After the business license is activated the company can begin its operations. 3. According to APJII (the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association), the ISP service providers in Indonesia include: Telkom, Indihome, Biznet, First Media, XL Axiata, MNC Play, D-Net, GMedia, PadiNet, and Indosat Ooredoo. 4. To apply for an ISP license, it is necessary to sign a cooperation agreement with an Indonesian company that already holds an ISP license: 1) JARTUP (Internet Upstream) Agreement 2) NAP (Bandwidth) Agreement – requiring a minimum of 10 Mbps 5. All devices that use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must have POSTEL certification 6. Types of ISP licenses include: dial-up, cable, DSL (Digital Subscriber Line), wireless, fiber, and satellite. 7. If a foreign satellite is used, a Landing Right document is required. 8. If a company has projects in multiple locations, only one ISP license is required. However, the project locations must be updated, and the update process will be subject to review by the Ministry of Communications every five years. 9. Before applying for an ISP license, the company must have all necessary equipment ready for inspection by the Ministry of Communications (KOMINFO). 10. To apply for an ISP license, a company must use its physical address, and virtual addresses are not permitted. 11. If a company does not have an ISP license but has already engaged in business activities, the company is considered illegal and may be subject to legal action. 12. As long as the company is still operating and has not undergone any changes, the ISP license will remain valid. |
