When a mining company intends to export coal abroad, the company must apply for an Exporter Registration Certificate (ET) as an export license (depending on the HS code).
Basic Informations

1.      When a mining company intends to export coal abroad, the company must apply for an Exporter Registration Certificate (ET) as an export license (depending on the HS code).

2.      In order to apply for ET, the company must first have the following documents:

a.      For trading companies, it must have an IPP mining transportation and sales license

b.      For industrial companies, it must have an activated IZIN business license/SS standard certificate

c.      For mines, it must have an approval of the RKAB mining project plan and budget report for this year

d.      It must have the latest MODI ID company information

3.      The trading company must also sign a coal purchase and sale agreement with one of the following:

a.      A mine with a MODI ID and RKAB approval for this year

b.      A mining trading company that already has a MODI ID

4.      ET is valid for 3 years and can be reapplied after expiration. After obtaining ET, the company must report the actual sales report no later than the 15th of each month (even if there is no transaction). If it is not reported on time, the Ministry of Trade will freeze the obtained ET.
