Intellectual Property Rights

Trademark Registration

The official trademark registration process takes about two years. However, you can start using the trademark once you receive the examination approval. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks from the application to receiving the approval notice.

Trademark Assignment

Trademark assignment refers to the process of transferring trademark rights to another party (whether a company or an individual) through methods such as trademark sale, donation, or inheritance. After the transfer, the ownership of the trademark belongs to the new party.

Trademark Cancellation

Trademarks registered by companies or individuals can be cancelled. After receiving the trademark cancellation notice, the trademark can no longer be used, effectively rendering the trademark registration invalid. This type of situation is relatively rare.

Industrial Design Registration

Industrial design registration includes the product's shape, structure, lines, and other elements. It is necessary to register the industrial design in order to protect the company's design; otherwise, it may be imitated or used by others.

Franchisee Trademark Authorization Registration Letter

In the franchisee trademark authorization agreement, the trademark owner grants trademark rights to the franchisee (not the trademark transfer), allowing them to use the trademark for business operations. The franchisee is allowed to use the trademark on products/services for a certain period of time, such as: the use of the trademark name for services or products, production processes, human resource management, and financial management. The franchisee pays a certain amount of funds from the business profits.
