1. The cosmetics warehouse inspection is one of the mandatory requirements for cosmetics importers before registering a BPOM account and products. In addition to the warehouse inspection, importers are also required to apply for an office inspection with BPOM. 2. By obtaining the warehouse inspection report, it indicates that the facilities owned by the importer have met BPOM’s requirements and are therefore deemed suitable for storing products. 3. The main conditions for applying for a cosmetics warehouse inspection are: – The company must have Indonesian registration documents and include cosmetics business scope (46443: Wholesale trade of human cosmetics) in its registration. – The company must own a warehouse, and the warehouse address must be listed in the company’s business registration certificate. – The company must have a PJT (Technical Person in Charge) for the warehouse. 4. The cosmetics warehouse must meet the following standards: – The warehouse must be located at a commercial address, which can be a shop or warehouse, and not a residential or other types of address. – Virtual office addresses cannot be used. – Legal documents of the warehouse must be clear, such as ownership certificates (SHM) or land use rights certificates (SHGB). – A clear lease agreement must be in place, with a lease term of at least 2 years. – The warehouse must have a minimum area of 60㎡ and should be adjustable according to future import needs. – The warehouse must be kept clean, with adequate lighting, and should not have any sources of contamination (e.g., leaks, water damage, etc.). – The warehouse must be equipped with the necessary equipment required by BPOM (such as shelves, thermometers, hygrometers, fire extinguishers, etc.). 5. Notes: – The office and warehouse can use the same address. – If the office and warehouse have different addresses, both addresses must be registered in the company’s NIB (Business Identification Number). – If there are multiple warehouse addresses, all warehouse addresses must be registered in the NIB, and each warehouse will be subject to inspection. If BPOM officials find that a warehouse is illegal (not registered), the warehouse inspection report may be revoked. – If the company does not register a BPOM account within one year after the warehouse inspection report is issued, the report will automatically expire, and a new warehouse inspection will be required.
