1.      The SNI certificate is valid for 5 years and must be reviewed annually. It is recommended to submit the SNI review at least 4 months before the certificate expires.

2.      The main purpose of the SNI review is to ensure that the product can continue to meet the established SNI quality and safety standards.

3.      The SNI Type 5 certification annual review process also involves two key links: 1) factory inspection; 2) sample testing.

4.      The main purpose of the factory inspection is to ensure that all production processes still meet the corresponding SNI standards and that its quality management system still meets ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent standards.

5.      During the factory inspection, the auditor will also take samples, and the samples must be sent to the Indonesian laboratory for sample testing. Annual inspection sampling can be divided into two types:

1. Sampling in the factory

– New products (if new products of the same type need to be added)

– Old products (already SNI certified)

2. Sampling in the Indonesian market

– Products already sold in Indonesia

6.      After the annual review, you will obtain the SNI annual review certificate. After that, you can apply for a one-year renewal of the SPPT SNI.

7.      If the enterprise fails to apply for renewal on time, its SNI certificate may be revoked by the relevant department.
