1.      Basic Requirements for Registering a Foreign Investment Company:

·       The minimum registered and paid-up capital is IDR 100 billion

·       At least two shareholders are required (individuals or corporate)

·       At least one director and one supervisor are required

·       A business address is required (it can be a virtual address)

2.      The business scope in Indonesia is categorized into a total of four risk levels: low risk, medium-low risk, medium-high risk and high risk.

a.      Low risk business scopes use a Business Identification Number (NIB) as their business license.

Business scopes with low risk include:

·       Wholesale trade (textiles, household goods, clothing, etc.)

·       Wholesale trade of telecommunications equipment

·       Warehousing

b.      Medium-low risk business scopes use a Business Identification Number (NIB) and active Standard Certificate (SS) as their business license.

Business scopes with medium-low risk include:

·       Internet of Things (IoT) consulting and design activities

·       Ownership or rental of real estate

·       Textile machinery industry

c.      Medium-high risk business scopes use a Business Identification Number (NIB) and inactive Standard Certificate (SS) as their business license.

Business scopes with medium-high risk include:

·       Wholesale trade of cosmetics

·       Construction services (construction of ports, mining, oil and gas, etc.)

·       Computer programming activities

d.      High risk business scopes use a Business Identification Number (NIB) and a business license (IZIN) as their business license.

Business scopes with high risk include:

·       Railway transportation

·       Wholesale trade of alcoholic beverages

·       Wholesale trade of laboratory, pharmaceutical, and medical equipment
