1.      When the company applies for the vehicle license and the NIK vehicle identification code, the company must apply for the company registration number now.

2.      Before applying for the company registration number, the company must have obtained:

1. Activated business license

2. Trademark registration certificate

3.      The company registration number is a disposable material, whether the company manufactures motorcycles, cars or other vehicles. There is no limit on the validity period of the company registration number.

4.      This company registration number is issued by the Ministry of Industry to the manufacturing, sales vehicle company or body company, so the company issues a NIK vehicle identification code certificate for each vehicle.

5.      According to Indonesian regulations, in order to be able to use each vehicle in compliance, each vehicle must have a NIK vehicle identification code according to SNI (whether it is imported and fully combined cars or assembled in Indonesia).

6.      The NIK vehicle identification code is very important because it applies for SUT and SRUT will require the company to provide the NIK vehicle identification code. Without the NIK vehicle identification code, the company cannot continue to apply for vehicle permits, resulting in the vehicle not being used in Indonesia.

7.      NIK vehicle identification code registration is calculated according to the type and quantity of vehicles.

b. Y = The third character describes the manufacturer of the vehicle, such as Y is SUZUKI in Indonesia.

2. ESL 415 = 4 – 9 characters is the VDS Vehicle Descriptor Section

The company/manufacturer determines the 4-9 character arrangement system, which must indicate the series of the vehicle, the type of body and the type of drive motor.

3. FJ600080 = The last 8 characters describe the vehicle production year and the vehicle production number (series production number).

9.      The implementation of NIK vehicle identification code must be reported to the Ministry of Industry every 3 months. If it is not reported, the company will bear administrative penalties, from the warning to the revocation of the NIK vehicle identification code.
