1.      SHE is a certification that guarantees that a product complies with SKEM, which is a standard and specification that determines the energy efficiency level of an item/product.

2.      For products that obtain SHE and comply with SKEM standards, a LTHE label will be affixed, which indicates that the energy-using equipment product has met certain energy-saving requirements. The validity period of SHE certification is 3 years and can be extended.

3.      SHE aims to provide protection and information for consumers to choose energy-saving and efficient household appliances; in addition to this, SHE also aims to prevent inefficient household equipment products from entering the Indonesian market.

4.      Domestic producers and importers must apply for SKEM for energy-using equipment that will be traded within the Republic of Indonesia.

5.      Examples of mandatory SHE products include refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, lamps, fans, rice cookers.

6.      SHE certification activities and their implementation on site will be supervised by the Director General of EBTKE.

7.      SHE testing and certification are conducted by product certification bodies authorized by KAN, which issue SHE and product registration codes.
