1.      If foreign telecommunications equipment wants to enter Indonesia for sales, they must apply for POSTEL product certification authorized by the Ministry of Communications, and call the network access license in China.

2.      The purpose of POSTEL certification is to ensure the interoperability between telecommunications tools and equipment, to ensure that tools and equipment do not interfere with each other, and to protect the public from network losses.

3.      Before applying for POSTEL certification, the product must be tested to ensure that it meets the requirements of Indonesian telecommunications equipment.

4.      POSTEL product testing has 2 test methods:
a.      Testing in an Indonesian laboratory
b.      Test in a Chinese laboratory approved by the Indonesian government (unrecognized laboratory test report cannot be used to apply for POSTEL certification)

5.      Subjects that can register for POSTEL certification:
a.      Brand
b.      Represent the company or distributor
c.      Indonesian manufacturer (such as produced in Indonesia)
d.      Assembly factory (such as production in Indonesia)

6.      Types of POSTEL certified devices: mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smart LEDs, wireless headphones, set-top boxes, wireless routers, Wifi devices, etc.

7.      The same series of product identification is as follows:
a.      Huawei mobile phone P30 and P30 Pro are two products, which must be certified separately.
b.      P30 Different colors and different memory are considered to be a product, and only one certification is required.

8.      POSTEL accounts are processed once. After opening the account, the account will be used for how many products you need to register later.

9.      The POSTEL certificate is issued by the Ministry of Communications (KOMINFO) and is valid for 3 years.
