1. According to the regulations of industrial parks and the RKL-RPL environmental assessment, industrial companies located within industrial parks must draft a detailed RKL-RPL report. Since the approval authority lies with the industrial park, not the Ministry of Environment, drafting the detailed RKL-RPL report offers certain benefits, such as a simpler process and a faster approval timeline compared to other environmental qualifications (Environmental Impact Assessment Report AMDAL, Environmental Management and Monitoring Work UKL-UPL). Therefore, it is recommended that your company build or lease a factory within an industrial park 2. Industrial companies must have a technical approval letter in accordance with their business activities. 3. Technical approval letters include: a. Emission Technical Approval: If the company’s activities involve the use of chimneys or generators. b. Wastewater Discharge Technical Approval: If the industrial park does not provide a public IPAL wastewater treatment plant and the company treats wastewater itself (by setting up an IPAL wastewater treatment plant). c. B3 Waste Disposal Technical Approval: If the company manages or uses B3 waste during the production process. d. B3 Waste Technical Plan Document: Each industrial company must draft a B3 waste technical plan document. 4. If the company already has the detailed RKL-RPL report and the environmental impact assessment approval letter issued by the industrial park, then the industrial company has met one of the conditions for activating the standard certificate (SS) / business license (IZIN). 5. As long as the business is still operating and no changes have been made, the environmental impact assessment will remain valid. 6. Changes such as modifications in technical specifications, increased production capacity, increased workforce, expanded business scope, extension of land and/or building area, changes in working hours/business hours, changes in government policies, changes due to natural disasters or other reasons, or failure to carry out activities within 3 years after the issuance of the environmental impact assessment approval letter, will render the existing environmental impact assessment invalid, requiring a new assessment to be conducted. |
