1.      According to Indonesian government regulations, businesses that conduct transactions over the internet are required to have an Electronic System Trading Business License (SIUPMSE).

2.      Business operators who are required to have a SIUPMSE include:

–        Electronic System Trade Operators (PPMSE): These are business operators who conduct transactions over the internet through personal websites and generate profit from such activities. PPMSE can include individuals, business entities, social organizations, and state administrative institutions.

–        Intermediary Platform Providers (PSP): These are business operators who provide platforms or marketplaces for trade transactions on the internet and earn profit from the transactions that occur. Examples include marketplaces like Tokopedia, Shopee, and Zalora.

3.      The SIUPMSE will remain valid as long as the company continues to operate.

4.      If a business operator conducts transactions and earns profit over the internet without applying for or possessing a SIUPMSE license, it may result in:

–        The website or app being blocked

–        The business license being suspended or revoked
